Greetings Fellow Friends and Supporters of God's House International,
been honored on the international Front. Last night, at a gathering of scholars, financiers, entertainers and
just many many people from all walks of life who have a love for African People and the African Diaspora the 11th Annual GAB Awards was held. GAB is an acronym for a Gathering of Africa's Best. At this event individuals from all walks of life were nominated for their contributions to the Continent of Africa. God's House International Founder, Yvonne Washington-Turay (me) was nominated for the work that God has place in her heart. Well, not only were WE nominated, but we are now the very honored and proud recipient of the GAB Award 2009 Excellency Award in the Health Category. This is first time an American-born African has been honored. It is a precedence not only for The GAB Award Founders, but also for US. I would like to give a special thanks to all of you for your donations, tireless efforts in spreading the word about this grassroots work and your plain LOVE and support. God is moving us to another level. This is the second time in months we have recieved recognition. In May 2009 WE were honored by the people of Sierra Leone and recieved the 2009 Sierra Leone Excellence Award for Health. This event was also held in the United Kingdom (England). African people from all over the continent were in attendance and there was coverage by several newspapers, magazines and Nigerian National Television. Please continue to keep this great work of God in your prayers. We are still in need of your support to see this project to it's full fruition. Tell your friends, family the media and anyone you know who would like to be a part of what God is doing via God's House International. I love you
